When it is humid outside and I have the A/C defog on (which is supposed to evaporate condensation on the inside of the window), the cool air from the A/C makes the glass cold and the humid air outside condenses on the outside of the glass, right where the vents blow. Try it sometime- when it's humid out, put the AC defog on full blast and watch the condensation begin forming on the other side of the glass above the defog vents.
